Peladang Setiu Agro Tourism & Resort is the number one choice for the government and the corporate sector as the facility here with its large training camp can fit a lot of people. It also has a well-facilitated training camp, a fresh-water fish pond, a campsite and an open space for recreational activities and many other activities.
Despite offering the cheapest rates compared with similar establishments, the resort boasts excellent facilities for seminars, camping and other outdoor activities. Its 58 chalets are located amidst a large oil palm estate where visitors can see for themself how palm oil estate is managed. Here at the Agro resort, visitors can find an orchard of local fruit that can just be pick up by hand and be eaten right away as they don’t use any chemicals for the plants in this place. There are a lot of activities that can be done here. The resort guest can choose whether to go kayaking, boating or fishing in the scenic and lovely fresh water fish pond or join other water recreational activities at the resort. Peladang Setiu Agro Tourism & Resort has 32 standard rooms, 20 standard specials, three deluxe, one deluxe family, one deluxe VIP and one VIP suite. The rates are between RM100 and RM350.For seminars and meetings, there are three big air-conditioned halls, which are equipped with whiteboard, flip charts andoverhead projectors. These halls can accommodate 200 seating participants.
The resort also has three big hostels or dormitories which can accommodate 120 persons at any one time and a large campsite area for those who want to stay out door with nature.
Here you will find that they restaurant which offers both local and continental food to fit the taste of the many guess. Among recreational activities are abseiling, rappelling from a 70-ft tower, jungle trekking, river crossing, kayaking, obstacle crossing and games.
The Gunung Tebu Forest Reserve and the Hutan Lipur Lata Payung or Recreational Forest of Lata Payung are a great place for trekking, hiking and for recreational activities. Other places of interest include the arboretum, mini zoo and fruit garden. At night, the Food Court, beside the swimming pool, sells local delicacies.
The Resort also receives many guest and tourists who are also renting the rooms here
while on their trip to or from the nearby Gunung Tebu Forest Reserve and the Hutan Lipur Lata Payung.
